This Weekend In the CFL

Winnipeg 17-14 Les Alouettes The less said the better. Something is definitely wrong with Anthony Calvillo- none of the Als' points today came from his passes. Although Marcus Brady fucked them over big time. Congrats to Ben Cahoon though, for his 150th Alouette game. I've voted for Ben and Anthony Calvillo a few times for the CFL's Greatest QB/Receiver combo poll. This game included two rouges.

Hamilton 20-18 Edmonton Essentially the 7th place game, although with two games in hand, it wouldn't be shocking for the Esks to wind up with a better record than the Ti-Cats. Terry Vaughn became the first ever CFL player to catch 1000 passes in this game, which is pretty neat. He was helped by arguably Jason Maas's best game as a Tiger-Cat, although that's not saying much seing how the season has gone. This game included two rouges.

Toronto 18-39 Calgary I always enjoy seeing the Argos lose, and don't look now, but the Stampeders are 9-5 and could very well get the bye in the West. They've come a long way from when I saw them get shellacked by the Lions in a Montreal hotel room. The game was really the Sandro DeAngelis show, as he kicked six field goals. Some punk returned for the Argos. The game featured one rouge.

BC 20-23 Saskatchewan The Roughriders are gonna need to do some catching up because they really do not want to play Calgary at McMahon. Saskatchewan have played very well over the last month or so after a slow start, perhaps thanks in part to Fred Perry, who leads the CFL in sacks and has been the team MVP. This game featured THREE rouges!
